Default EK9 red Recaro seats in 98Spec DC2

Hi guys,

As the title says, what will it take to fit a set of EK9 Recaros into my DC2 ITR?

My original seats were unfortunately removed, along with a few other choice bits before the car landed in South Africa, from Japan.

The car has what appears to be blue velvet fabric Integra SIR-G seats, so I will essentially have those rails, and the ek9 rails.

How can I make this work?

Before its suggested, let me rather clear up that we don't get ek9's or dc2's in SA, so I cannot source an original set of DC2 seats. It's unusual that these ek9 seats have come up for sale.

Any help and tech info will be appreciated.

I think they'll fit, only three bolts though.

you need rails/sliders from dc2 itr recaros, or if you want to sit lower, vision low down rails or bride makes rails/sliders that will work

Could I not make up some brackets and use the Integra SIR - G rails?

no they mount to the seat in a completely different way and are much thicker and would make the seat sit real high

I'm not sure if these EK9 seats are going to come through anyway.

Plan B is a set of aftermarket reps.

They can be fitted & will look the part....almost, but how do I hook up
the occupancy sensor?

Do the JDM SIR-G seats have the occupancy sensors. If they do, they're
not connected in my car, but I'm sure I could swap them over to the aftermarket seat, correct?
