Manual Transmission Problems
I have a 96 Accord with a 2.2L vtec and 5 speed manual transmission. The problem I'm having is when I left off the clutch to drive I hear something that sounds like of you was to rub to pieces of sandpaper together and the car does not seem to be accelerating like it did when I first got it. The guy I bought it from said he had just out a new clutch in it but I'm thinking he either didn't do it right or something else maybe going on and I think that's it's the transmission since the thatsbrhe only time I hear it is when I'm driving and the engine and transmission are both under load. Any suggestions on what this coyld be please help. Thanks.
re-bleed the clutch pedal, and look on the inside of the car up under the dash at the clutch master cylinder and see if it's leaking inside the car.
He may have replaced the clutch, but used a cheap-o one and its junk.

I'll check that out when I get back. On the other hand I will mention that it seems to shift fine however the clutch does seem to be a little jerky. Almost like it ingauges and disingauges very quickly. Reason I say this is because you can actually feel a little jerk when you press in the clutch and you have to let off the clutch very slow because it ingauges very quickly. Would a vacuum leak cause an engine to have almost no acceleration power to it when it's under a load but seem to run just fine if it's in neutral?
