I have a Honda civic eg hatchback from a 1994 was wondering if a dimmer switch would cost 500 dollar brand new cause I took my car to pepboys for checkup on it and that's what they gave me the estimate for after they check my car for the problem with no lights coming through the cluster panel.

 

would you pay 500 for a dimmer switch? hopefully you can find a junkyard and get it for 95% cheaper.

 

If your going to pay $500 for one I'm sure I have one for about $400.

Take a look on ebay you can find them a lot cheaper if you don't have a junkyard near by.

 

well I did get a used one yesterday but it didn't seem to work at all I did try the method were u connect a wire to the red and black wire and that don't seem to work change all the bulbs on the panel fuses relays and everything but it didn't seem to work.

I had the same issue. Just run a jumper wire in the dimmer switch to bypass it and it will come on. Or go to a junkyard like pull a part.

 

not sure what the problem is, but I got it fixed. just bought a new led light for it works just like magic. thanks for the help guys
