Post d16y8 swap question, 89 EF

Hey H-T I have a question about my swap. I bought the car last year with a d15b2 block and an A6 head with MPFI swap already done. The headgasket blew on me and I got a great deal on a d16y8. I already have the d16y8 in the car but on my d15b2 I have a 2 prong sensor on the back of the block and on the y8 theres a plug where the sensor should be. I figured I could just remove the plug and replace it with my sensor but they are threaded differently. My question is, Is that sensor located somewhere else on the y8 or do I have to have an adapter machined out to fit my sensor? What is that sensor for exactly? It appears to be a coolant sensor of some kind but isnt the ECU coolant temp sensor and gague sensor on the head by the distributor? Also theres a 2prong plug on the y8 head directly under the VTEC solenoid that is not on the d15b2/a6 swap I took out of the engine. I will post pictures in a few minutes. Looking around i'm reading mixed things about it being the fan switch, fan relay, ECU temp sensor, ect. Thank you for your time.

Plug on the head, top left is d15b2, right is d16y8. What is this plug for?

Top Left, the B2. That is just where the distributor goes, right?

On the Y8, that is the VTEC pressure switch. One side goes to the ECU, the other side is grounded. It is part of the VTEC system.
Look in the FAQs. The Z6 and Y8 swaps are the same essentially.

That fan switch on the back of the block is no longer used for 92+ engines. They improved the location and it is now on the thermostat housing.
Extend your wires and use a different connector for it.
looks something like this which you are apparently missing in the top left of your last pic
