Default Lack of power after oil change

Okay, so I overfilled my oil and by about a half a quart. Ran for about 150miles like that. Kept smelling burnt oil when I got in to the vtec. I have since drained the excess oil and level is good. I feel like the car is a bit sluggish now, and I am seeing more than normal black soot on the tail pipe. No CELs, and I can still smell the burnt oil smell when I get on it.

The car is a 2000 EM1 with 100k. Going to look at spark plugs tonight, what else could be going on?

compression test it if you want, imo it's just a placebo affect from you worrying about over filling it.

Yea agreed, filling up the oil too much can blow out seals but I don't think there's an issue. Change the plugs, and do a compression test. Then drive the car.

Update: I pulled the plugs and they smelled like burnt oil, kinda wet and were probably due for a change anyway. Got some new NGK plugs and wires. Went ahead and did fuel filter since I had no idea when it was last done and everything seems to be back to normal. Still getting the black soot around the tail pipe, but that may be normal for these B series, not sure.

thanks for the advice guys.

Black soot just means you're running a bit rich. Get it tuned and you will see most of that clean up.

Check your cat (if you have one). If you were going into VTEC with too much oil (causing overpressure then recirculation of your oil to the intake), it is not impossible that the burnt oil fumes may have partially blocked it.
