AC Thermostat
Hi Everyone,
After trying to narrow down a fairly poor AC performance (About 65F on the vents) I came out this weekend while driving through hills that the AC compressor has kicking in and out constantly at that temp.
I jumped the AC Thermostat connectinh the blue wires with each other and I could really feel a difference. My question is? What happens if I leave the thermostat disconnected?
Will the compressor get broken, evap too forzen?? If not, is it really possible to replace it without putting everything appart?
Thanks!!

The thermoswitch is there to protect the compressor from sucking up liquid refrigerant, and to cycle the compressor off during low blower speeds. I don't know what you drive, but you should really perform tests on the system, including checking the thermoswitch for proper operation.

Oh,
Im sorry I forgot to tell its a 1998 Civic EX. Yesterday I was able to pull the AC Thermostat without pulling appart everything. I cleant it with electronics cleaner and I run a test on it with a cup of iced water. It seems it kicks at aprox 40f as expected. Then when installing it a left it a bit away from the evap itself.
It got better, but it doesnt get to 40F. I measure it yesterday jumping the Themrostat and I got that. Now I am at 50F.
