Rsx-s convert to type -R
New to honda-tech but im just curious on what i need to know for converting my rsx type s front end to a type -r front end which im purchasing from japan with includes the frame cut at the nose with everything i need i hope!:
So what all are you getting with the clip? Really not much that different that I would have bought an entire "clip" seems like a waste.
Front lip, different grill, and sidemarkers? That's about it..

well i haven't purchased it just yet and i did notice there wasnt much difference between the type s n type r so im just second guessing it but buying the type s front around here in san diego is just as expensive if not more then the front clip for the type r im getting for 800(if i do get it)
Thats all worthless and nothing is different.. same hood, same bumper.. headlights will suck since they are for RHD not LHD...
Just buy a ITR front grill and lip kit and call it a day. Buy the sidemarkers and instal them yourself. No need to feel "JDM" by wasting your money on buying a whole clip especially if it's not to convert to RHD.

Buying sidemarkers and installing them yourself is for people who are skilled enough to cut metal precisely and then forward thinking enough to rust proof it. OEM fenders have precut holes for the sidemarkers and allow them to be popped out for bulb replacement. They're also painted after cutting. If you don't care about these details (I would), then sure, slice up your fenders because "it's all the same".

Real OEM Honda ITR lip, real ITR headlights, a real ITR grille, and real ITR fenders with pre cut holes as well as an extra radiator is NOT worth $800? This is all news to me. OP could turn around and sell the parts off his RSX for a good chunk of that $800. So...maybe he's out a few hundred bucks after buying genuine Honda ITR parts? Not bad, IMO.
Or are replica lips/lights/grilles/fenders "all the same ****" too?
