your thought of f22b in crx
hello all here on HT i recently wrecked my cd5 accord. its beyond repair since this is the second time it has been in a wreck, so with that said im thinking about pulling my mild built f22 and dropping it in a late 80s or early 90s crx. whats yalls thoughts on doing something like this is it worth it or should i just part out the engine and scrap the twisted accord shell? you tell me what you would do in my shoes thanks mike
If you can find a CRX with a B trans I would drop the F bomb in it and work with an F2B setup without question.
Dropping the F in and boosting it would be really fun in a CRX also.

well ghost you probably remember me but i got the little project done and well gotta move on but its a 400hp bottle baby so its a fun little motor now
why not use the tranny i have now?

Oh I'm sure there would be absolutely no problem with the transmission you have now. Just have to fab up some shafts and spindles to match up with the CRX and it's hubs. Besides that, have you ever driven a 6500/7000 rpm F/H series with a B series transmission mounted to it?

ehh kinda sluggish up to 3500 after that its a flash to 10.5 kinda followed ghosts build but instead of a longer rod i used a hell of a bigger throw on the crank stock rods and a little secret on the bore
this is interesting and hell yeah It can be done. I have also been wanting to do this and still am with a ef hatch.
like said before, b series trans are nice mated to the f, but f/h trans work just as well.
I had the full get-up in my ej7. very fun to drive with a stock f with some bolt-ons.

ill deff do a build thread...now i might get bitched at for this question.....but whats the pros and cons of a f series trans and a h series trans. i kno one of the 2 has a LSD in it from what people tell me but i forgot which of the 2 it is. also gear ratio which one has longer legs (taller gears) the car wont be really drag raced just a little weekend warrior
f has taller gears, h shorter. certain jdm h trans come with lsd.
I believe f trans be good for turbo setup or a dd. if your lookin for a weekend warrior put the h trans in.

The H23 is the middle of the road transmission, good street manners and drives on the track well enough, drop in a Quaife and you got your LSD. Probably cheaper to go that route than trying to buy a JDM LSD H22 transmission.
