can anyone help me with changing freeze plugs on a b16b?
I looked on youtube and didnt find anything.

I moved up to Idaho and this winter came too fast so im sure I have to swap coolant and freeze plugs on my b16b EK swap.

Freeze plugs don't go bad. Unless popped out by frozen water

And swapping all may be a pain with the engine in and uncomfortable in the cold

I would do a complete coolant flush and put 65% coolant and 35% water

But that video shows you how to remove it if you insist on changing them.

 

There are no freeze plugs on the B16B at all

Just run 65/35 or 75% coolant 25% water.

 

there are no freeze plugs in the traditional sense. They have threaded plugs, but they never go bad.

 

They're really just block drain plugs.

 

Yep, if you're worried about winter remove the drain plug/frost plug and install a block heater. (D/B series block heaters are all the same so you can just order one for whatever the car is)
