1990 EF Hatch ... Plans?? need help
welcome to honda-tech! The plans for your car really depend on what you want to do with it. In a nutshell, you have a few options:
1. Keep it stock, do some cosmetic upgrades (new wing, etc)
2. Swap the motor, keeping it the same cosmetically
3. bolt-ons (I/H/E) and trinkets (little accessories if that's your thing)
4. Focus on suspension mods (either keep it functional or slam it/stance it/etc)
5. OEM "restoration" - get it looking as close to new as possible
6. JDM "restoration" - similar to #5, but using imported Japanese pieces
7. A combination or all of the above.
It's totally up to you, and really just depends on how much time you want to put in the project and how much you want to budget for it.
Best of luck!

I see you are from GA too. My 90 Civic is the same color also. As stated above, what do you want to do with the car? Does it have the factory d15b2 now?
Hmm. Mister Clean kind of nailed it. Depends on what you want to do. It depends on your budget. If you are just looking to spruce it up a bit, focus on the interior. That's the part you have to deal with daily so I think it's pretty important.
Hey thanks for commenting guys!
I guess what I really wanna do is all the above to what Mister Clean said. so what's the best way to go about a motor swap such as what series is best to fit and what not and I am definitely wanting to slam it but not have a hell of a lot of chamber. Do how do I? Lowering springs? Extend top hats? All are good questions I'd like to get taking care of and get an all around idea.
Thanks again guys!!

How long have you owned this car? Do you know it well enough to start building on the chassis?
I mean there should be a few things to look over before moving forward.
Motor swaps are nice but if the car is not prepared or ready for the new motor, it really wont be balanced. How is the suspension? Brakes?

Jeez, just scrap it. This car is in for a beating. Best series for motor swaps? D-series is the easiest. F-series has a ton of power but isn't common. K-series is reigning supreme right now. J-series and C-series is where the big dogs hang. B-series is tried and true. H-series is great on the street. Want to slam it without camber? That's too easy. Camber is something that you have to work to achieve. You can lower it with stock sized wheels and not worry about camber. Adjustable coilovers. Done. Lowering springs will be a disaster on stock shocks if you are wanting to 'slam' it. Which is dumb as hell in my opinion, but go for it.

First replace every bushing, especially the Trailing arm bushings. Get Koni, yellows and GC coilovers. Inspect wheel bearings. Drain brake fluid, put in stainless steel lines and refresh braking system. Flush coolant. While you are doing this research swaps, that way when you are ready for powerrr your car will be safe.
