1990 Accord 3-point seatbelt conversion?
I've always disliked the motorized shoulder belt that came on my 1990 Accord. Since they do not lock up when you tug on them (even when you give it a sudden jerk to simulate an impact of a crash), they don't seem to have a real purpose in terms of safety. I hate knowing that the only thing protecting me in the event of a crash (knock on wood) would be a measely lap belt.
I was wonderig if anyone knew whether Honda had any recalls to retrofit these seatbelts? Probably not, huh? Well, if not, then can someone tell me the feasibility of trying to convert this into a standard 3-point belt system that came on the '92-on Accords? Thanks.

Headlights aren't bright enough (needed driving lights)
Fabric unraveled from interior door panel
+ Severely inadequate safety features
----------------------------------------------------------------
= Time to buy a new car?

not 100 percent on this one. but you could get the setup from a local yard and replace the current one. its all bolt up as far as i see it. just unplug the old one and get rid of the wires. ..
take a look at it first and try it

dont know all thats involved, but I do know you wouldn't need the entire seats, because Ive had 90-91 seats in my car. just the buckle part you can change with just removing I think 2 screws and a bolt.
well what about the pillar part? The trim is different, as is the belt mechanism obviously.
I don't think ive ever been in a 4g without the power seat belts.
