electronic seatbelts
If I have electronic seatbelts and I change the seats. Then use a jumper wire on the wires that go to the seats. Will my seatsbelts still function properly?
I believe for door mounted seatbelts, they are operational only when the doors are closed. As for the wires underneath the seat, those are for your seatbelt indicators. They are not needed to make the seatbelts operational.
The door latch switch will cause your seatbelts to not work if not functioning properly. Its deep inside the door attached to the latch mechanism. The "L" shaped switch in door jam is for the interior light, the connectors under seat only control the seatbelt indicator. The latch switch inside the door disables the lock retractors when the door is opened, so you can use the belt system as designed, which is by getting in and out of the car with the seatbelt buckeled. The buckles were only for "Emergency release". This was a workaround solution to government mandates that required a supplemental restraint system
