2000 Honda Civic - Bent door pose bent (accident)
Hey guys,
I recently bought a 2000 Honda civic Hatch, overall the car runs and is in perfect shape. Minus the passenger side door, someone ran into it and the door was destroyed, the door post is also slightly bent .
I changed the door and when the new one closes, it still has a little gap; which indicates that I need a Hydraulic car body jack perhaps? to push the bend door post out ?
I bought one from Harbor Freight last night and took the day off from work tomorrow to work on my new love. I will update this post with pictures and progress

I think it was too. I paid 1K for the car. I did a great job with the Hydraulic body jack yesterday, the door now closes sweet as ever with no overhead gap. Will be posting before and after pictures today.
Before I started working on Katy Perry (:

After I changed the door and pushed out the door post with the Body jack

I had to cut a hole in the door jam in order to pull out a dent, I will have to fiber the hole back or weld it. I will update the post with my progress.

B piller is still messed up.. You can see there the top of the door meets the sail panal. If you pull some cross measurements I am willing to bet the opening will be smaller, use the other opening to referance. To do this correctly you would need all the B piller, rocker panal parts to replace. If you get into a accident that area is going to be very weak and fail.

Yes you can replace the B piller you just have to section parts and weld in new parts. Its hard to tell exactly whats up with the b piller. Take a tape measure and measure from identical spots on both doors. You can only pull a B piller so much before it buckles. I would replace your rocker too as far forward as possible. If the top is bent in, I am sure most of the piller is pushed in.. Thats where measuring will come in handy.
Something I missed before, if you look at the rocker, its bowed in meaning there is frame damage (for lack of a better word right now). I would take it to a collision repair shop and have them put it up on their frame rack.

Sounds great ! I really appreciate the time out you take to reply to me.
We had snow last night so I can't touch the car until a day or two haha.
I will do some measurement, with the other car as my reference and update this topic accordingly.
Thanks again..

1996 - 2000 Honda Civic 3 Door CX / DX - Panel Set, Left Front - Outer "Part Number 04645-S00-A10ZZ"
Above is the part assembly for this panel assembly. It might help you decide which part can be straightened or might need replacing. The part is pricey at $515.74 but I can swing free shipping by using the coupon code: 'honda-tech' upon checkout.
If there are any items that you might need sourcing otherwise, let me know and I'll see if we can get it for you.
I'm glad that you're trying to bring this back to being roadworthy - too many end up in the crusher.

I would check ur price again $656, but not so bad condsidering you get the 1/4, the inner and outer for the B pillers and other small parts. I would do it personally and have it re finished and be road safe. better then trying to streach the b piller back and have to worry if it gets hit on that side again or rolls over. Just invest in a good spot weld removal tool and good welder.

Price is $656.06
And again, its the B-pillar, rear quarter, and the bits and pieces.

Hey I appreciate the time out guys. I will run some measurement and see what i`m working with. and I will also have a second opinion on the decision I make.
If the damage is too bad, I will definitely be ordering the parts above and rebuild that side of the car.
I will keep this topic updated as I get more info. The weather on my side is getting really bad, so hopefully in the coming week.
Thanks

I've seen the same cars in the junkyard with the same damage and it looked like old repair work...around here..that vehicle is fixed, slap a little red paint on the door and it's done lol
haha, man you made me laughed out so loud at work like i'm crazy. But I straightened it out, filled it out and it seems fine, the damage isn't as extreme, I am just going to "slap some red paint on the whole car haha" (maaaco) and next summer I plan the proper repair work.
That sucks, I am in Colorado.. Be a long *** drive to get it painted! If you want tips on how to paint let me know.. It would look better then taking it to maaco
Aww man. It's too far of a drive for me right now. And if the weather wasn't so cold, I'd be glad to receive a few tips an paint it myself. As a boy growing up, I worked at a body shop for several years.
