Default Si-R brake issue

Hey guys new to the site and I'm currently doing a Type-R build in my standard ef. Right now I'm at point where I had to change the hubs to make the axles work with this motor. I bought a front and rear disc conversion out of and SI-R and of course when it went to be bolted up realized they sent me 2 driver side knuckles. So, tomorrow I will be making a phone call, but for now I am just trying to be proactive and see and research if anyone knows if a SI/DX knuckle is the same as the SI-R? Also I noticed the calipers and rotors are a TAD bigger than my front stock setup, what would I need for a brake job in the future when ordering parts, just a CRX SI front and rear pads and rotor setup? Please any help would be much appreciated. Trying to get this project on the road ASAP!

I've read that the rotors and pads and caliper are the same as the da gsr correct? so would the knuckle been the same exact too? since I'm doing this build i want everything to be legit and keep it all the same if i can

I also just read this….. "They are beefier and were designed to fit the B16 axles with the bearing dust seal in place. Please note that the JDM 1st Gen B16 axles are not the same as say the N.American 99-00 B16 civic axles. They are a hybrid design of 86-89 Integra axles except for the inner CV Joint, which is a substitute of 92 up Integra Outer CV Joint. "

does this also mean i may not be able to run they axles i got with the type r motor? anyone know off the top of their head?

why are you trying to use the Si R knuckles if you have no idea what you are using???

btw, youre going to run into tie rod issues too.

I've ran these knuckles on an LX sedan before.
They are awesome!

Si and Dx are pretty much the same knuckle

The Si-R is all around better IMO.
Larger disc and caliper than the Si/DX - use 90/91 Civic EX or DA Integra parts
Larger wheel bearing than the Si/DX - use DA Integra parts
Beefier structurally

They bolt directly in place of your stock Si/DX knuckle.
However the location for the steering ball joint is a little bit inward compared to the Si/Dx.
If you try to bolt up your tie rod ball joint, your wheels will have significant toe out problems. You can't adjust them enough to get within spec.
This isn't a show stopper as the modification to correct is really easy.
You will need to remove your outer tie-rod (easy since the knuckle will already be out) and then cut some of the spare threads off.
I had a tap and die set so I actually tapped the -inner- tie rod a bit and cut the remainder off the thread of the outer.
(I had a really nice how-to on a personal site, but that's long gone when I got rid of Time Warner cable=/)
As I recall, I cut 3/4 inch off the outer tie rod and tapped about 1/2 inch into the inner tie rod.
From what I see on the internet, it's a total of 1-1/4 inches that other people go with.
Only a half inch of cutting, and no tapping, in you have an Si (the steering rack is different).

EDIT -
I found 'wayback machine' has my old page

thank you for your tie rod guidance! all help is appreciated very much. do you know if the si-r knuckle is its own thing and different from the da/ex and they only share the same bearings and brake parts, or are they completely the same top to bottom? i tried researching this so if this shop dicks me around i can just source out the correct passenger parts i need.

"or are they completely the same top to bottom? "

I'm not sure what you are asking.
The knuckle is the same height - top to bottom - as the stock Civic/Crx parts.
It is a different casting and has it's own part number.
