anyone know if Canadian RSX base models comply with US FMVSS? I understand that the RSX base models dont come with sunroofs as opposed to the US models.

EDIT: Canadian DC2 ITR's as well.

 

i don't know of any base model with a sunroof, in either country

In Canada, we had a middle line model called a premium. It was very similar to an S, minus drivetrane and front brakes

 

I have a US base auto model with sunroof, came stock.

 

I know that the US base model came with sunroofs. But the Canadian models didnt come with sunroof, wanted to get a Canadian RSX base to make a type R replica.

 

Let me get this straight....in the US, there are only 2 models Type S and base. You are saying that "all" rsx's in the USA have a sunroof. If so, that's news to me here in Canada

 

yeap, i cant find a RSX base without a sunroof in the US. I've even looked around on the internet to see if the US even made base models without sunroofs and they said only Canada has them in North America. i guess its a selling factor?

 

That's news to me too in Canada...we have base, premium, type s..i've seen enough "base" rsx without sunroof and stock hub caps
