HELP
Aye guys just need some help on a few questions I got , lemme tell you what I got I have a 1991 Acura integra 4 door ls Right now it is bone stock under the hood , my plan is to strip the entire thing down and build it from scratch now I know what to do for interior and exterior I just don't know what to do under the hood.. I have a b18a1 in it at the moment , with a auto transmission I wanna put a 5 speed tranny in forsure Now I got a guy giving me a h22a1 motor with 5 speed tranny for 600 bucks and wanna know what will I have to do to make that swap work in my DA?? Also the other option is I could just rebuild that engine and get a b18 5 speed tranny and swap that so what do I need to do for that? I don't mind the work , and I enjoy it Just need some help and advice guys so please help
1st thing is swap to manual. What is your budget for all this?the h would be nice swap, im not sure where the h22a1 comes from. Base prelude?
What are your power goals? If not much like 200ish, you could build up your motor. New pistons, rods, get it all balanced so you can rev high. Throw on vtec head good set of cams with good header and intake manifold. Or sell your complete swap and get a gsr full swap, or put down more money and get itr swap..youd have to get a cable to hydraulic conversion kit since all civic and integra trannys from 92-00 are hydro..uhhh dont cheap out lol..
Theres more to it than what i said, but just the basics man

As for the h series, youll need the full swap. I believe mounts, maybe some wiring.. im not sure about all h series, but they have frm sleeves which make them next to impossible to fix if it needs honing/boring. Really depends on what you want the car for.i say stick with the b series.
Rebuild the B18a1, maybe upgrade the internals.
You already have a used engine, no point in buying another one that will take "modding" to install, better to spend that money on the B18. 94

Yes, any B 5 speed transmission will work, I would go with the "GS-R" 5 speed, [YS1] for a little better get up and go, the "LS" 5 speed, [S1/YS1] would be better if you do a lot of highway driving.
LSV will get you some more ponies, but again mods, [some wiring] and an ECU/ECM will be needed.
I would stick with the LS and "beef it up", JMHO. 94
