ok so i have a 93 hatch back dx with a d15b7/z6 head, has all new tires and a fresh alignment, under high load(wot in all of first most of second and little of third) it has this weird grinding/rubbing noise, only when in load, hitting bumps and taking turns its quiet. i have checked most of the front end for signs of it/ tried using a smaller tire/wheel and still nothing. need some pointers.

 

Does it sound like a grinding gear noise? Does your car make the noise in neutral?

 

no, doesnt sound like a gear grinding. sounds like something in suspension, like i said only under high load i can top out 3rd and 4th nothing mostly in 1st/2nd, id post a video but you cant hear it in a video over my exhaust.

 

only thing i have notices is it has noticably gotten worse and worse, sounds like it is coming from the drivers side.

 

bump, after welding the header together last night and looking under the car, the noise has gotten a little less worse, didnt even do anything besides weld header and take the wheel off...
