SOLD!!!!!
I have for sale a 2000 EM1 (It's real). Clean title. No accidents on carfax.
Located in Naperville, IL. Use 3004 reflection dr, naperville IL for reference.
Please google that location if you need directions to or overall whereabouts of Naperville IL.
Please read the entire ad if you are interested in the car. The ad is very informitive and will tell you what you need to know. I have put the higlights at the top of this ad.
-102k miles on the cluster **Car had a JDM cluster. I replaced it with an Si cluster that I found on craigslist. Based on the carfax report, this car should have between 120-130k miles on it in actuality.** read the ad for more details.
-NO RUST anywhere. The car was from california. I stuck magnets to the quarter panels in pictures to illustrate this point. see pictures.
-ORIGINAL motor and ORIGINAL trans with VINs matching. VINs on every body panel except front fenders (they're JDM fenders), and hood. Front bumper and lip are OE Honda.
-Engine does not smoke or leak fluids. Trans does not grind and shifts smoothly. Obviously, since it's a B series engine, you will have to check oil level every 1k miles or so. It hasn't gone through any oil while I've had it and it does not smoke.
-JDM front fenders with factory cut sidemarker holes and OE sidemarkers. Not hacked up USDM fenders!
-Tein SS coilovers. Rides great
-JDM CTR (32mm) 5 lug conversion. 5 lug S2000 spare wheel.
-Rear camber kit (Megan)
-DC sports short throw shifter
-Pioneer MP3, AUX, CD player
-Pioneer front speakers, Dr. Crankenstein (lol) rear speakers
-The chassis, body, and interior are VERY clean. The only thing not so clean about the car is the fact that the sunroof panel on the interior of the car (the cloth part) is scratched up. Maybe the pervious owner had long nails...or the car was once owned by the girl from the movie 'the grudge'. Interior is all original.
-Previous owner took trunk mat and plywood out of trunk because he had subs. He did not give me those parts when he sold me the car. So those are missing. Haven't been able to find a 96-00 coupe at a junkyard
Lots of new parts when cluster read 101k miles:
-Gates OE timing belt and water pump kit
-Accesory belts (Gates and Bando)
-Timken front cam seals
-Timken front crank seal
-Timken rear crank seal
-Exedy OE clutch kit
-ITR light flywheel (resurfaced)
-All motor mounts including torque mounts.
-BFGoodrich 205/50R15 Super Sport all season tires.
-Konig 15'' wheels
-Sway bar links (front and rear)
-Energy polyurethane sway bar bushings
-Inner and outer tie rods (Raybestos)
-4 wheel alignment
-Air filter
-NGK spark plugs
-NGK HE63 spark plug wires
-front wheel bearings
-front lower ball joints
-Honda MTF
-Coolant
-Castrol synthetic oil change - purolator filter.
-Brake fluid
Other stuff that was replaced recently...by previous owner:
-Distributor (the whole thing)
-Front upper control arms
Car has 1 problem:
-The passenger side power door actuator needs replacement. The door will lock and unlock manually and the door will open just fine. The keyless entry works on the driver's door just fine. This is a common issue and a cheap part at junkards. If I have time, I will fix this.
I bought the car in late spring/early summer 2013 with a goal to restore it to a very good condition, mostly stock EM1, and drive it for a long time. This is was NOT some sort of cheap fix and flip deal. Look at the list of parts. I planned on keeping the car a while. I replaced everything with quality parts. I have stacks of receipts for the above stuff.
The Tein suspension rides nice. The car has working heat and A/C. The A/C did work last summer, but you probably want some more freon in there if you want it ice cold.
The car was originally from CA. It was a CA car till like 2009 or 2010, IIRC.
What you will find on the carfax (I have the carfax somewhere):
-Car has no accident history. But it *might* have been involved in a small fender bender that was not reported. I'm telling you this because I'm being honest. The front end matches up very well and most things are VIN tagged...except the front hood/fenders...but as stated above...the fenders are JDM fenders.
-Car has odometer roll back history. This was due to a JDM cluster being put into the car. Seems the JDM cluster was put in around 99k chassis miles...it had 50,000KM on it (the "miles" on the carfax said the odometer was rolled back to 50,000) . The title said 80,000 "miles" in 2011. That means that at that point, the car's actual chassis miles would have been around 120k. Add in the extra miles between 2011 and when I bought it...and you have between 120-130k miles. The kid who I got it from barely drove it.
The unknown mileage is unfortunate because the car is otherwise SOOOOO clean.
Reason for selling: Bought my friend's 2006 Si. Decided to keep the 06 and sell the EM1 for the reason that I can drive the 06 to Chicago (city) and street park it overnight without sweating.
$5950 Pretty firm. Not budging much...if at all. I'm looking for a quick sale....but am not addicted to crack. It's cheap anyway....why lowball me further?

It's going to be difficult to find a clean and close to stock EM1 now a days. I've seen ruined ones selling for the price that I'm asking.
Pictures:

The car comes with the wheels in most of the pictures (above). I also have a set of almost new Michelin X ICE 2 snow tires and ugly BBS replica winter wheels (seen below) that will come with the car for an ADDITIONAL $300 FIRM. **please note that I had to raise the car up quite a bit to clear these wheels/tires.***

Refrigerator magnets stuck to the rear quarter panels to show no rust/bondo:

Thanks for the bumps, guys. I will let you know about the snow tires once the car is actually in posession of the new buyer. He seems very serious about getting the car.
Thanks.
Thanks.
