Default ITB injector mod ??

Hi.

Why would you drill holes and place/relocate the injectors at the red circles ?

Positive and negative effects ?

That's dumb moving the injectors there. Anyway the pros would be better fuel consumption and valve cooling.

Hi,

Those look like OBX itb's. Are you trying to move the injectors spraying fuel after the butterfly plate as the OBX have them spraying fuel before the plate.

One thing would be better atomization and less fuel smell.

The post throttle plate injector location is better for fuel control across the power range and better for fuel economy. It would be the location much better suited for a vehicle that is used on the street.

The pre-throttle plate position is more useful in Mid to WOT conditions as it creates a better fuel atomization and the fuel has more time to mix with the incoming air and cool. In turn, creating a combustion chamber cooling effect. Best suited for a race application.

In a dual stage fuel injection system the post throttle location is used for low RPM and idle conditions where the butterflies don't open as far. Using this location keeps fuel from pooling on the butterflies and/or falling out of suspension. Causing drips of fuel to run down the runners into the combustion chambers. This can make it harder to tune. The pre-throttle injectors in a DSFI system are for higher rpm and higher load conditions where the throttles will be open wider.

You're welcome!

Dual stage fuel injection is the shyte on individual throttles.....
