I never thought I'd be posting on here again, but a chance craigslist find has brought me back. This will be my greatest and last Honda build (at least until the next deal).
I am creating this thread to keep myself motivated and organized throughout the build, but please feel free to comment and let me know what you think.
I apologize in advance for some of the pictures being poor quality, my camera was waiting on a new battery.
I picked up this 1985 Honda CRX for $500 on Craigslist in rough-running condition.
The car is rust free and is in rather good shape for its age and mileage (330k)

My friend was over checking out the car and we decided that we needed to do one more build that would be something different and most importantly, fast.
We got to researching and decided to emulate one of the builds that really caught my eye. It is an H2B swapped 1st gen CRX built by H-Car Jorge. I contacted Jorge to get more information about his car and he has been nothing but helpful with all of my questions so far.
So the basic plans we have laid out for the car are:
*=purchased/built
Engine/Transmission:
H23A VTEC "Blue Top"
GSR Transmission: OEM ITR LSD, OEM ITR 4.785 Final Drive*
Ebay/PLM Header
K20 RBC Intake manifold with QSD adapter*
Hasport B series mounts/axles
Custom scratch made engine harness with mil-spec connection at firewall
Some H2B kit
Interior:
Momo Corse Steering Wheel with MOMO hub*
HR Tuning RD1 Gauge Display*
Suspension/Brakes:
Integra front/rear knuckle/brake conversion
Ebay coilovers in rear
Wheels/Tires:
Something 7.5-8" wide with M&H Radials for the street
Exterior will remain more or less stock appearing
Car will be tuned by Synapse Turbo or Xenocron
Goals are 115mph trap speed and 11.99 seconds in the 1/4 with a stock internal motor.

The cluster replacement (new plate has to be made). This thing is really cool. I like playing around in the HR Tuning software. I think I'm going to go with a simple layout like the one pictured.

Amphenol mil-spec plug that was previously used in a military application. Solder pins to save money on crimp tools. The engine harness will use all brand new wires and pins.

My old trusty MOMO wheel and new in box hub for the 84-87 CRX

K2H adapters and RBC manifold. Probably will end up with a B series throttle body.

New fiberglass header panel from SousaSpeed to replace the one that was cracked into 50 pieces.

Right now the transmission is getting built. Next purchases will be the H2B kit and the motor so we can get started on mock up.
