ok here is what I have done...

have fuel pressure, have spark, have compression. del sol just cranks and cranks...

I can start it and run it on starting fluid.... Once in a while using starting fluid it will kick over and start running fine. runs and drives but if you shut it off and let it sit, same result.

I checked fuel rail for pressure and its good, pulled rail and turned it over and injectors wont spray gas.

what causes the injectors not to fire?

 

When the engine won't start, do all 4 injector clips have battery voltage with the key in ON(II)?

 

I will have to check, should they have constant 12v with key on? So I'm assuming they fire with ground.

If so, check whether ECU connector pins A23 and A24 have continuity to bod ground.

 

a23 and a24 both have ground to chassis

 

problem solved... not sure why but the ECU was bad I put in a used ECU I picked up last weekend and it fired instantly... took a minute to be able to idle and for the tach to work but now its purring like a kitten...

 

however now the spedo is not working dont know if it is related..... ????
