removig one layer from the oem headgaskey will be the same as decking the head .010, i wouldn't suggest it personally, b/c then it may not seal properly

Spoon makes a thin head gasket for the H22A. I say, if your gasket you have now needs to be replaced, I would get the spoon one.

I thought about getting the Spoon Headgasket but then my brother kinda turned me away by saying the the thinner the head gasket the greater the risk of blowing it. Thats my only concern cause i don't want to have to rebuild my motor again. So i guess my question would be if i use a Spoon headgasket for an everyday driver you think it would be ok or should i just stick with the OEM headgasket. Thanks

What did you do in your rebuild? The spoon one should seal correctly and if you're not boosting I don't see a real need to stick to the thicker one. You're going to need adjustable cam gears however and maybe purchase a new tensioner if it can't pick up all the slack depending on what kind of condition it is in.
