Default 1994 acura integra rs full tank.

Recently purchased a 1994 acura integra rs. From an elderly woman. Clutch, been replace. And I have done full tune up.

185k
5sp
I highly doubt the car been pushed 5k rpm, not one oil leak on the engine,
No clicking sound from valve STOCK as possible.

NGk wires
Ngk R plugs cooler one
Cap rotor
Oil changed
89 gas

Full tank of gas using 89' until gas light came on, 310k.. All interstate drive, 75-80 mph.

How are people getting 350k 388k full tank? I wasn't heavy on pedal at all.

Forgot to mention, I also took the top cover piece off the stock Intake box, idk if it matters. If anything I'm thinking it should improve mpg?

why did you take the stock intake box cover off? and have you tested with it on/off to see if that makes the difference?

CT-Engineering IceBox (practically the same as OE) with the cover off it loses power… you could be onto something

With the cover off it's basically a short ram intake... I filled her up until th gas click and I still kept on clicking t but not until gas spills. Then went straight on interstate. 358mile trip. But gas light came on only once then off and it was around 310 miles. So I went to the next station ASAP. I'm just curious, bc I searched it up and gsr and other Tethys are getting 388k.. Insane.

not necessarily… I get about 230+/- miles to a tank in my GSR and I got a pretty heavy foot LOL

where do you normally shift?

Something I haven't don't since I bought my used GSR (with 180k original miles) is Seafoam the car (gonna be doing it next week)… you might try this as well if you'd like.

I'm a bit confused…*jus want to clarify. Your location says California but you're saying 350k 388k (I was thinking your meant Kilometers) are you saying 350 miles to a tank?

Oops I meant I'm 310 miles full tank. And other forums they're getting 388 mliles. I'm shifting b4 3000 rpm. Ehh. I guess I'm fine, nothing really to complain about, but I would mind getting 388 miles lol.

lol yah gotcha, …*yah I'm not anywhere near that ****… depends on how people drive that's for sure. If you drive purely in town*you'll never breach 300miles to a tank IMHO. I'm willing to bet that those cats gettin 300+ are commuters.

Also super slow acceleration is a big proponent and shift points. Too low a shift point and you end up probably stepping on the gas more to get to your normal cursing speed.

With my GSR I been shifting anywhere between 3500-4000rpms

I dont feel bad now that I can't get 300 miles to a tank for mixed 70-30 in town driving lol.

I've noticed getting 300 to the tank is really difficult on my LS, I can probably squeak by 300, but by then Im putting 11-12 gallons of gas in the tank and also basically hypermilling. 270-280ish seems to be my normal range on a pretty much stock LS with an icebox. At least gas mileage isn't that greatly impacted if I use the AC or drive with a heavy foot and I can still get the same range.

Thanks for the inputs guys, and yeah I know my shift points. Pretty glad I'm getting 300 miles a tank then . Also my transmission fluid end to be changed it's feeling harsh, no grinds yet but soon. Thanks again!
