Default Degree b16a2 stock cams on b20vtec

Is it worth it?
I know the effect couldnt be feeled much, but anyway I will be at dyno session to tune a car and would have a chance to measure the whp difference of degree procedure.. i hope
Pistons are YCP with vtec valve reliefs and head\block werent more then 0.005, so I think I can turn up to +7 in, -5 ex with p2v and v2v contact with these 1.6 cams
so is it worth it to move cam gears - and where?!

anyone? article "how to build a reliable ls/b20 vtec" says that hybrid timing will always be slightly off, so can I start with advance +2 cam degrees on both cams?

start with zero on both intake and exhaust and go from there. your setup might like a couple degrees advance on one of the cams. on my b20vtec when i had gsr cams both cams were moved a little advanced but i will ask my tuner cause i cant remember. now i have type r cams with a 2layer head gasket and about 3-5 thousandths milled on the head and my exhaust is set at zero and intake 1 degree advance, this is where i made the most power on the dyno.

Just do that and let us know how it goes.
Not trying to be a dick, just honest, tuning a set of B16 cams will net you almost gains. Not worth the hassle IMO. Save your time and money for a real set of cams.

+1 i would have to agree. i would never go with b16 cams. i would go no smaller than gsr. there was a noticeble difference with degreeing my gsr cams on my stock b20vtec. but your right, b16 cams are a waste of time.

thanks everyone! I'll try to get GSR intake cam ASAP
I want the motor to make good midrange, so it has P30 intake and 2.25 header and exhaust. Btw, how do you think - will 275cc injectors be enough?
