NA vs turbo on 3g GS
so i still have my 3g integra gs
in terms of just driving fun and wanting to smoke nicer cars off the line (not race up to 300km/h) what would give me the best results? NA or turbo? engine swap? which one? want to be able to at least roll anything stock without a v8 in it.
If i just drive the car for fun, is a pure NA car more fun than a turbo? (have driven a 95 rx-7 fd-whatever with the twin turbo w/ 350whp and that was seriously fun) but have never driven an NA car that's been done up well.
i could do ecu stuff with bolt ons and even swap a different engine in there for the same price as turboing it so, basically with an integra, is it much much more fun/better to have a turbo on it or to basically get it light as hell, nice suspension and have it hit 200whp or so? I do miss the sound off a blow off valve and being thrown back in my seat but having tons of power all through rpm range would also be pretty damn fun i think.
any opinions?

LSV then turbo it just make sure you upgrade the block when you're doing the LSV(aftermarket rods pistons etc). N/A is more fun imo my fav n/a car I've driven was a k24 making 348whp in a EM1 ! but that costs a fair bit of money to do.
yeah i bet that was fun to drive haha.
if i go LSV with mods/block/rods/pistons/turbo what kinda numbers might i get around; 250-300whp? That'd be a hell of a lot of power for a light car.
Why LSV and not GSR? I want more power in the mid range, the one thing i like about a supercharged or NA car is the power band is more even throughout, with turbo and vtec i'm not gonna pull off the line very fast in comparison am i? is there an engine better suited for this task? i don't really miss having vtec, i find it annoying unless i'm on the highway.
it's like hitting vtec in a type-s rsx it's slow as **** until it kicks in then it goes off like a jet (especially with a turbo) but i can't exactly drive around town like that without causing trouble. If i could get the jump on an AWD car off the line - that's the kind of power i'm looking for. i'd like to shut those imprezas/lancers down and make them cry.
fwiw i was driving a 2013 sonata rental and destroyed a decent looking lancer (def not the fastest but it was really done up) off the line somehow and through 3rd gear i blew him away, it wasn't the turbo but man that car had a ton of power in 2nd-3rd for a big boat family sedan lol the guy had to line me up 4 times and get blown away before giving up!

You can keep your LS, just drop a turbo kit in with a tune. You said you wanted to be fast in mid range and on off the line races... A t3/t4 turbo will do that for you. Fast spool no lag. Low boost probably get between 200-250whp No internal upgrades needed. a gsr or type r tranamission will do you good too.
nice that's what i was hoping for... if i can push 250whp and drop the cars weight even more it'll be a total sleeper that looks like a complete piece of **** - my dream. lol just gotta get some more dents and scratches on it. thx for the advice
LS engine with a T28 turbo, Hondata s300, 750cc injectors, bigger fuel pump. have a T25 on a B20B in my DA integra and it's making 225hp/215tq. That is at 5psi. I'm going to crank it up to 10psi and retune. I chose to keep my turbo setup simple so I could retain power steering and a/c b/c I use this to commute to work. It's a fun ride. I used to have the T25 on my B18B engine and it made a little bit less tq. closer to 200. If you don't need a/c or power steering you can go with something a bit more aggressive.
If you go all motor I would suggest to get a hatchback VX/HX/HF to give yourself a head start. My brother had a CRX SI with a GSR and bolt ons killing 2001 mustang GT's back in the day. He now has a mild compression GSR JRSC and he can't get traction on drag radials. He made 250hp.
If your going to stick with a 3G integra I would go forced induction for sure. Just get some nice tires and get a GSR transmission.
