Problems with choke d15b2 dpfi
hello my 1st thread here and yes it's about idle on honda :D
-i've cleaned IACV
-changed every single hose in dpfi
-as i saw this engine don't have fitv
-coolant changed and bleeded
-TB taken out and cleaned detaily
so the problem is when car is cold the rpm gets up to 1700-1800rpm
and my car is in garage with 15c
i sopouse it should come to about 1100-1200rpm max... at that temperature
usually i'm waiting about 2-3 mins then go
and the car is running too rich, can go without pressing the gas pedal just letting the clutch :D
and i think the problem is with choke but don't know where it is and how to test it...
and yes when the car is on operating temperature the idle is fine
and acceleration goes smoothly

DPFI engines do not have a "choke" per se, but a tandem valve is is prone to carbonation. Usually this will affect higher RPM torque, not so much the idle.
Check the intake for vacuums leaks and PCV operation. Also check engine/ignition timing.
You may want to test the coolant temp sensor over its cold range.
