98 Civic DX hatch ignition system broken. help?
Hey guys, this is my first time on the forum. Around 07 I bought the civic 98 dx hatch 16y7, it's been a great little car even to present day. No issues (except for brakes) BUT 4-5 days ago someone broke into my car and went for a joyride. After I picked up my car from the towing lot when it was found by police, I saw that the panels around my wheel were taken out and the car was started with a screwdriver...
I will try to provide images of the damages so you guys can see for yourselves, but my main question is: Is it safe to drive this vehicle in the state it's in right now? I am confused by this because the car can start and runs fine, I can even start it with my own key now after adjusting. BUT my left/right levers are out of whack now, turn signal left lever is at about 11 oclock and wiper lever is at about 5 oclock... I am also afraid that my steering wheel can just lock up with the current situation and all.. What's the best way to approach this? I am going to a mechanic later today or tomorrow but I just dont feel safe driving atm
Cant post attachments attachments but I just uploaded one picture of the ignition system on tinypic, link is below
Any help is appreciated

If you already plan to take the car to a mechanic, then update your thread afterwards.
If you are handy, you could probably make the repairs yourself and save some money.
