^I don't know that he means "good" tires in very sticky summer tires. Also.... $800 for 888's?!! What a waste.
OP, try discounttiredirect.com or tirerack.com. 195/55/15 is kind of an 'expensive' size. You can find lesser pricing in 205/50/15 (about 1/4-1/2" shorter than 195/55) or 195/60/15 (about 1/4 to 1/2" taller than 195/55).
Definition of good tire depends on how/when/why/where you'll be using the tires. And what you're used to...what you like...what you priorotize...etc.
I think you should be able to find something on those two sites that works for you.

well I assumed his car would not be driven in the winter, snow tires are another story.
the 4 205 r888's I have were just under $700 tax inc(13%).

Idk...I feel like R888's aren't that much faster than sticky street tires like Direzza Z2's or something similar. RA1s are a different story. Did you do 888's because this is a track only car?

Yes there's no way I'd run those on the street, they'd be history in a few months or less the car get's trailered also(no headlights, plates etc).
I have some shitty endoro's 916 for the street tho they are "ok" go them with some ricer rims for 300$ lol.

^nice.
As far as the ZE512s go, they're decent all season tires. But you get what you paid for. Tons of tread squirm when new...makes the car feel unstable. Wear out fast. Good for the first few months. I used to buy them every December. They'd be good for the winter, be worn enough by spring that they wouldn't squirm as much, and then be bald again by the next December

OP what do you plan on using the car for? Summer only? Winter? Etc. If your just gonna dd it all year I hope you have a set of winters AND a summer set. All season tires SUCK in anything that gets more than 2" of snow. So if you want cheap lasting tires. Go kumho esta ast or falken ze 512 or 912. Oh and do 195-50-15. More common size

195/55/15 is the stock size for EM1's and all USDM 94-01 integras. 195/50 is wayyyyyyy short (diameter). 205/50 is a more common size and closer to the overall diameter of the stock tires.
I will agree on getting a winter set for the snow. It will change your life. 195/55 and 195/60 winter sets are common.
