anyone usig aem fic. please helpme out
I got a 95 civic with a boosted b20b running a obd1 Integra ecu . Every thing works fine on the fic but ignition control iv tryed multiple ways of wiring the ckp cyp and tdc sensors but with no luck no mader what way it gives me a code. If any one using a fic got it to work please help me out . Or anyone using a fic having the same problems?
I guess I'll be the first to tell you. Get rid of the fic there are many free/low cost options for tuning the factory ecu. They also allow MUCH more control than the fic offers.

You have to set limits on the fic for what the ecu sees. Like setting the voltage clamps, ignition limits etc.
The fic modifies the signals coming from the ecu and you have to limit what the ecu sees, hence the clamp functions the fic has for the inputs to the ecu
Read the manual that comes with the fic so you can understand how to properly setup the fic
Is this a 4 or an 8

Well i know how to use it and the map clamp feature is set fine and fueling is also set good the only problem is with timming have no control over it . But its running good .

I don't know why you wouldn't have timing control unless the FIC was wired in wrong, some option in the software isn't checked, etc.
IIRC with the FIC you cannot pull timing, you can only add it

Emanage u can only add but aem fic you can take away timming like rtype16 said and it was wire according to aem but was throwing ckp code when intercepted so now only taped ckp and cyp sensors just so atleast i could monitor rpms and not throw a code, but cant make timing changes with it this way! Everything is easy to understand it would be a great product if everything worked right. But right now it kinda sucks
You shouldn't have to program voltage clamp if yo're using the proper base.
They don't make the FIC4 anymore, it was replaced by FIC6.
But let's face it, there is no reason to use a piggyback on an OBD1 car unless it's A/T, it's a last resort option for tuning your mom's Corolla.
Sell that FIC for $400 and buy Neptune for $400.
you're welcome.
