I just bought a fully built 1999 turbo prelude, it has a high idle at startup it usually goes as high as 2700 then will go to 2100, im familiar with the iacv problems this seems different, when its warmed up the idle is at 1000. Any ideas?

 

not turbo related, tighten the fitv

 

You have a vac leak somewhere.

 

Unplug the iacv and see if the idle drops. If not check for vac leaks.

 

It was the fitv thank you, also can someone recommend a oil to use? My friend said Use valvoline vr1 because of the high zinc.
