Question about replacing starter on 99 Acura 2.3 CL
Hi, I need to replace my stater on my 99 2.3 cl. Based on a little research it seems all I need to do is remove the battery and battery tray, then the bolts that Mount the starter and starter solenoid. But I saw somewhere that after replacing the starter you are suppose to make some kind of adjustment, possibly to the idle. Could this be true? Any good diy threads on this?

Never heard of this, starter only operates to spin the engine to start, then disengages.
Idle is controlled via IACV from the PCM. FITV operates when the engine is cold.
If you have an idle issue now then that is an unrelated problem, nothing to do with starter.

If you do this correctly - removing the battery cable from the battery.
There is an idle "re-learn" that I would do....pretty simple process. Just my opinion as I'm sure many people will say otherwise.

Ok, sounds good. I think I am going to try and tackle this tomorrow. Hopefully I can get to everything just fine by simply removing batter and tray.
