B18A is probably one of the most ideal Honda engines for boost. The compression ratio is great for it, and they can handle well over 200 WHP on stock internals.

Google, or use the search function on this forum. Do some research first. "Best" anything is going to be debatable for anything.

Best for ????

Since you have just a shell, I assume that includes without mounts, shift linkage, and ECU.
"Best" for your budget? Best for power? Best for mileage? Best for ???

Just put a stock B18A1 with a head gasket and ARP head studs back in it. B16 cable trans with LSD. Then boost it with a T3 50 trim from your favorite turbo company on enough boost to make 250-300 HP and get it tuned. Probably cost you more than you expect. If you want the best engine for power, you're in the wrong engine series entirely. But it won't come cheap.

This is important. I just noticed you asked what the best B-series was. ITR right? The B18C5? The 98+ Spec Acura Integra Type R was rated at nearly 200 HP if I remember correctly.

Well. If you are going that route, isn't the F20B swap very similar to the K-series but much cheaper and the ability to use the much easy to obtain B-series transmissions? There are mounts for every motor and adaptor plates for the H/F series so that the B-series trans can be used. The K-series is good for boost though. 700 HP on stock sleeves. I think my next project is going to be something crazy with a CRX and plenty of fab time.

Well i am looking to make somewhere around 350 and yes boost is the wayn i am going so what do you think of the b20b. I plan on getting new rod pistons and sleeving it for it to handle the boost (I KNOW MUCH MORE IS NEEDED) "sorry just hate forums with smart @$$ people"

You're lost. Just stop now.

B-series blocks can handle 300 whp completely stock.
B-series sleeves can handle 400-500 HP.

I'm not sure why you think you need pistons, rods and sleeves to hit 350. You can get rods and pistons in a B16A and hit 400+ HP. The B20 will net you more torque, but I think a B18 would be the way to go since it would probably be the cheapest. You could also boost a stock K to 350 HP. The K sleeves are very strong also.
