Icon2 alarm draining battery, etc

I guess I'm procrastinating because this has been going on for 2 years. Sometimes my alarm goes off for no apparent reason. Sometimes, if I don't really step on the brake when I turn off the engine, the alarm system lights up on the dashboard. But the really annoying thing is the way the alarm system drains my battery, especially when I have to be somewhere. I noticed that this happens when the alarm system is not armed.

I've replaced the battery on the remote, and had the car battery replaced several times, and the dealership doesn't know what the problems is (they tell me just to buy a new car which I can't afford.

Best thing really to do is to get a real alarm system and have it installed and have em remove the old one while they have the dash pulled.

That sure would be better than buying a new car!!
I've been all over the internet, seeing everything from problems with the brain to just a dirty hood latch. Dad worked for Nasa, so he taught this old gal a few things. If there was just something I could disconnect, I think I could do it. I'm not worrying about anyone trying to steal this hail-beaten thing.
