94 integra making nosie wen i push the gas pedal please help!!!
Hi fist time here on hondatech i really need help!!!i have a 94 acura integra b18b1 5 speed okay so i changed my clutch pilot bearing and throw out bearing like 3 months ago and recently i notice that wen im driving thers a wining noise coming from my trasmission it only does it wen it in gear and after 2 rpm in every gear the more rpm and it sounds a lil louder and it doesnt go away if i push clutch in or out like i said only in gear after 2 rpm but if i let go of gas pedal while still in gear it goes away and on nutral on high speed it wont make the noise at all please help any sugestions??
I took it to a local shop and they said might be input shaft bearing? Wats cheaper to rebuilt or get another one? Has this happen to anyone els?
Gear whine is caused by improper gear mesh, which generally points to a transmission bearing problem. If the pitch increases with speed, the ring and pinion are suspect. If the problem manifests in a particular gear or changes to a difference pitch between gears, the mainshaft is moving around. Inspect/replace the ISB and the rear mainshaft angular bearing and check preload.
Okay so after taking it shop after shop now they tell me is my diff in tranny.im not asking how long would it last to go real bad but if anyone has had this issue befor wats the worst that can happen while driving ?? Low on cash so im going to wait or just park the car untill i can fix it! Thank u everyone for ur time !
