what engine is in the euro accord r?
H22 but w/ a different Intake Manifold.
It is a lot more than just a different intake manifold. The type-r engines are hand built and balanced like a real racing engine. There are many more differences but the manufacturing process is what makes the best difference.
from what i've read it's an H22A7. the main internal differences b/t the standard H22 and it are the head has a hand port and polish, the cams have a more aggressive profile, and it has higher compression pistons. that's probably not everything, though. i'm far from educated on this motor.

also a helical lsd 5 speed tranny with shorter gears..
anyone know where to find specific technical info on this engine? (ie maintenance info, octane requirements, etc) I'm thinking about doing the swap soon.
Also note that the new Euro-R engine is a modified K20A w/ 6 speed tranny with almost the same horsepower and torque.

Civic Type-R, Integra Type-R and Accord Euro-R will share the same K20A engine. However, Civic will got tune down to 215ps, and Integra and Accord will get 220ps.
isn't that the motor that is in the s2000?
hopefully it will have more torque, but i'm not complaining

[QUOTE]want proof of an H22c? find the sport compact car that has the 6th gen championship white atr on the cover then go to the atricle and read it. There you will find the statement that it is powered by an H22c. [QUOTE]
Are you going just by their statement, because i have never seen an H22c. Sport compact has been known to print wrong info in their articles, as a matter of fact all the import mags are occassionally wrong. I believe all of the engine pics of the ATR that i have seen, shows an H22a7 stamp on the block.

They're dark blue. send me a private message if you are interested. We don't need to hijack somebody else's thread.
