92 accord dx engine swap recon
Hello peoples, I have been looking into engine swaps for a little while. I have a 92 ac. 2dr. I am going to be saving up to do a swap this time next year. So I was looking at donor possibilities and the h22 is my first choice... but i have been thinking about asking around if anyone has ever gotten an 3.2 from an acura legend, tl or cl to fit? 270 hp is in tl trim that would be the king of sleepers i think. Please point me in the right direction and any info on 3.2 swap or pics? Also does honda/ acura make an eletric power steering rack? If so on what year or models. Thanks again Long Live HONDA!
I can't say I've ever heard of anyone doing that particular swap and odds are a v6 won't fit in that chassis. Also, to do crazy swaps like that you should atleast have done no so crazy swaps previously, imo.
I did seen a thread with a 90 accord with a 3.0 v6 and ive seeen the 3.2 i can byth wholecar for 700 bad head gasket one one side. thanks for the advise. Getting the axles to line up is what i worry about.
The 3.2 came out in 91 in the legend. I dont think honda changed the engine bays alot. The cl used the same 3.2 and had a 2.3 option so its good to know they will have any array of mounts for them.
those engines and trans do not fit transversely like an accord v6. they sit longitude. so not only will you need the motor, but the trans as well. but hey, maybe not.
anything can be done to a car. it just basically matters how much your willing to do, spend. yeah im sure with some modification to the chassis and most likely fire wall it could go.
your best bet would be to get a j35 out of an odyssey, mate it up to a six speed manual trans, use a 98-00 accord engine, trans subframe and go from there. I believe the 00-02 odysseys had the 240hp j35.

why would i want a 3.5 if its gonna be tight ill try to stay with a 3.2 plus its only 700 for the entire car. With a bad head gasket. Clean body though.
