After the "inspectors" opened the hood, grilled the crap out of my engine, revved it a few times, stuck the probe into her, and asked each other questions like, "what are those steel hoses coming out of the engine?"--I failed inspection. The guy approaches my car with the little red "rejection" sticker. I said to myself, "doh!! probably emissions, or the jdm one piece lights..." To my surprise--he told me that my shift **** doesn't have numbers on them. I couldn't help but laugh to myself. I didn't know that the NJ inspection process had gotten so ****.

just go back with a **** that has a piece of paper taped to it with numbes scribbled on it

I haven't been to a NJ "Inspection station" since I bought my car lol! Granted I have to pay a hefty $80 to get passed it beats failing :/

That does sound ridiculous thought lol. I didn't know they popped your hood in NJ They didn't the last time I went... but like I Said that was a while ago.

 

Yeah, it's been a whiiiiile since I've gone for inspection. I guess it's only gonna get worse

Where in NJ can I take my car to get inspected? I know I'll fail emissions. I am willing to pay. Thanks

 

A shift ****! HAHAHAHA! Thats almost as bad as me getting pulled over for my OEM red taillights.

 

Honestly you gotta find someone who knows a shop that does inspections, or go out on your own and find just about any random garage that does inspections, They will obviously overlook anything visual its the emissions they can't "pass" you on. The best they can do is throw another car on the dyno with your cars information inputted to the computer...... never had to do that before but might now that I'm turbo :/
