Default problem unlocking doors

i've got a viper alarm/ keyless entry system on my arrrrr. most of the time when i hit the unlock button the driver's side will only unlock like half way and won't let me open the door when i pull on the handle. i have to go to the passenger's side and hit that unlock button. AND i can't use a key in the driver's side door to unlock it... it won't turn.... what the heck?! any ideas?

may not have anything to do with alarm.. is it still under warranty?

if alarm, could be something loose from installation too

Mine is the same way but not as bad as yours (still locks and unlocks but sometimes sticks). Take the door apart and lube all the links for the locking mechanism. I haven't done this yet.

I have had this happen after leaving the car sit for 3 weeks. It seemed that the lubricant in the door locks gum up a bit (for whatever reason) if not used for a while.

I fixed this by sitting in the car and locking / unlocking the car manually many a time over until they flicked open / closed how they normally should.

If that doesnt work, then back to the dealer is the next port of call.

Same for me on the driver side.. I lubed the hell out of the rods etc but no luck.. The problem was in the latch it's self.. Not the alarm ( all the lock hardware is still OEM.. the alarm just ads a relay into the circuit to trip the locks, so I knew it wasn't the alarm right off..) The dealer poked around in there for a bit under warranty and said they couldn't find anything wrong.. But the problem went away just after that so they must have unstuck something..
