Default 92 Civic Hatch Wiring Problems

Hey guys I just picked up a 92 hatch a week ago and don't know much history on it. It seems to have had an engine swap its 1.6 VTEC I'm not sure if its the y8 or z6. There is a few wires hanging and I wanted to see if anyone could let me know what they are for. The front o2 sensor is unplugged I cannot find out where to plug it in. I was looking up re wiring it to ECU but if one of the loose connectors can be rewired to it it would save time. The o2 sensor on there now is 4 pin. Also its got an egr valve that isn't hooked up wondering if I should just block it off? It runs fine but has a jumpy idle, does not stall. Haven't had a lot of time to look at everything. Anyone have any suggestions?

Here's some pics.

Wow, what a hack job...I'm pretty sure the green plug is for your fan switch on the thermostat looks like the switch is there just not plugged in.

I also believe the pic of the connector you are holding by the battery is the o2 connector

So if I can verify that the connector in pic forth pic is in fact the o2 sensor can I cut and crimp directly to the o2 sensor or will that cause issues?

In the third pic, I have the connector for that sensor that hooks up to the coolant housing but it was cut, the wires are green and black.

It is def a hack job. Power steering and A/C is stripped with wired hanging. VTEC solenoid is wired straight to battery with electrical tape. I unhooked the VTEC for now until I can figure out some more info on this. I have owned a few civics now but never had to deal with anything like this. I figured I'd gain some experience. So whatever info you guys got throw at me. I can take some more pics also it started to hail on me when I was taking these.

Best bet is to check some of the swap and harness threads and see if you can identify some of those plugs. If I was you I would go to a junkyard and pull that connector to the o2 sensor rather than just crimping them. And your engine code should be on the block.

I've been doing some searching but haven't found much yet. Its hard trying to find Info when I'm not sure of the engine type or harness so I'll have to check the block #. I'm gonna check tonight to see if that connector is for the o2 sensor or not. It says few models came with the EGR valve. Its wide open and has no suction so I'm not sure what's up with that. I'll take a few better pics and post later tonight.

Shouldn't the engine block be labeled? Anyways, does look rough. Looks like the A/C condenser thing is missing. It also looks like the fans aren't wired, do they turn on?

this should of already been done in the first place already! as of the motor i would like to say it an d16z6 from the look of the block and a few other component but can't be sure, with thing people do these day with swap and frankenstein build you just don't really know what to call it any more lolz, only way to tell is by looking at the stamp on the engine component if it still there (I've seen non legit motor where people get so scare they weld the block stamp or grind them off.)

That EGR, small diameter of the intake manifold plenum, the cat converter on the exhaust manifold, and the 7 wire O2 sensor plug all indicate this is a VX engine. Does the block not say "D15Z1"? Why not look at the engine stamp?

I'm a bit surprised that no one has picked up on this so far. A Y8, really? Have any of you ever seen a Y8? The intake manifold and valve cover on a Y8 are very distinct.

Your right it is a d15z1 Head says p-07.
I also forgot to mention the previous owner had over 5 quarts of oil in it when I bought it that's why I changed the valve cover gasket cause I thought it was just a leak lol I'm surprised it still runs like it does
