Default Is it only me?!

This has keep bugging me and maybe some of you guys have this. In my car when I'm driving at night, where my gauges are it has this bright light only over my speed and gas and the other half is dark.

I'm guessing this a safety feat. or whatever Honda has. First does anybody else's car have that? And is there anyway to remove it and maybe put glow in the dark needles for the gauges?

Thanks

I think it has more to do with poor light distribution or poor diffuser design. The only real way to resolve the issue would be to move to higher output (LED, etc.) or rearrange the light sources in general.

Of course you could always run aftermarket gauges as well if it is that big of a deal.

Seems to me that one of the lamps is out. There are at least a couple small light bulbs that backlight the gauges. They do burn out and are replaceable via soldering.

Alright makes sense and you think there's a way to maybe get glow in the dark needles?

I don't think there's soldering involved, you simply pull out the burned bulb and put in a new one.

once u remove ur cluster u will see small black ***** on the back. turn those and pull, the bulbs are behind these. replace whatever is burned out. they might have some coating over them so u will need to scrape off the coating to find out if the bulbs burned out. after replacing these and u still have no lights on one side, ur cluster is going bad.

might want to make a run to the JY and pull one from there. thats what i did. also if u go this route, pull out all the bulbs and scrape off the coating on them. it will make the cluster brighter.

Easier then most cluster fixes I've ever done if that's the case. Damn you Honda for being so easy to work on!
