Default 92 Civic Hatchback DX - brake lights won't turn on

I have a 1992 Honda Civic Hatchback DX, and when i hit the brake pedal, the lights wont turn on. When I turn the lights on, all of the lights turn on, but still, when I press the brake pedal, the brake lights won't turn on. What could be going on? Thanks guys and girls.

Measure resistance on the brake pedal switch, also make sure it's adjusted properly

There is a rubber "pad" on your brake pedal arm. It is probably gone. This is what makes contact with the switch to turn on your brake lights. I epoxied a dime where both rubber pads are for both the clutch pedal and brakes since both of mine were gone. Solved the problem

If the rubber stopper on the brake pedal were missing, the brake lights would stay on at all times.

Voltage test the brake light fuse in the hood fuse box. Is there battery voltage on both top test tabs?

Alright, ill check if the rubber thing is still on the brake pedal. If that's not it, then I'll check for voltage on the fuses. Thanks guys.

Does your horn work? They are on the same fuse so that's a quick way to check.

Horn does not work, the fuse is blown, this is my second time changing the fuse, so I'm assuming there's a short with the horn, because even with a good fuse in there, the horn doesn't work. Where could I check that?

Unplug the pedal brake light switch or the horn to see whether this prevents the fuse from blowing.
