Default del sol s d15 wont stop over heating

i just bought my del sol the other day i changed the radiator, thermostat, radiator hoses, and put in a fail safe thermostat.... i drove the car home 3 hours before i put in those new parts but when i was driving itd stay cool and then when i stop at a light itd over heat but now when i changed everything it just over heats but when i rev up the car it starts to get cool any ideas why its overheating also i know the fan comes on but still over heats.

Did you bleed the cooling system? Is the radiator and reservoir topped off with coolant?

ok, so that tells you 1 of 2 things, either your temperature sensor is not providing the proper information back to the guage, OR, because its rpm based, the coolant is not moving enough at idle to keep the system cool (water pump or blockage somehwhere)

ok thank you nothing is blocked so its most likely the water pump just ordered the whole kit gonna re do the timing will were at it
