I want to get a roof rack on my car, but I don't really know anything of them. My civic doesn't have any kind of racks on the top currently. What all would I need to get? And could someone recommend a good brand that's on the cheaper side? I have the bike rack picked out, I just need the base part. Where the bike rack attaches on to.

 

Find a used set of bars from Yakima or Thule. The mounting kit is something like 35$ on ebay.
