B18c5 into EK throttle cable problem
I have a GSR with Skunk2 intake manifold in my EK. I am using an ITR throttle cable and ITR throttle cable bracket and the cable is really loose. What am I doing wrong. I want to use the ITR bracket. It is a show car and I prefer not to use the flat black bracket.
Well, if you can install an intake manifold properly and also do an engine swap, I would assume you already know how to adjust a throttle cable, right?
So what is the problem, or what happens when you try to adjust it? Is it at the end of adjustment?
If it's only a show car, it doesn't need proper adjustment. In fact, the car doesn't even need to run properly, so just put the one on there that looks best.

It's at the end of the thread. It cannot be adjusted anymore. I've already gone through that. its just super loose. If i move the ITR bracket to the right holes so only one hole in the bracket is attached to the manifold then it will have the proper tension but I don't want to do that. I thought that people run ITR brackets and cables in EKs. That's why it doesnt make sense to me.

The ITR cable and bracket were both brand new from Acura. The adjusting nut is at the very end and there is still a lot of slack in the cable after the bracket.
Would that affect it though? It has slack after the bracket. Basically between the throttle body pulley and bracket on the intake manifold. This is how it is ran.
You will have some slack on it bro. Just x2 check that at wot (pedal to floor) that the TB is fully opened like it should. My b swap had the same bracket. I just adjusted it all the way and it's good
try looping it over/around the brake master cyl it may fix things I'd go try mine like you have your but my engines out of the car.
edit:there will be some slack but it looks like OP has too much, mine is set in the middle and I have just a bit of slack.

edit: hey genius look at how the b16 and ITR manifold/TB sit....same deal
I'll try looping it that way and see if it changes anything.
It's either the cable or bracket itself. B swapped, the other end of the cable could be different because of the em1 vs dc pedal assembly. Also he states it was new before hand and you were like "is it stretched?" Blah blah.
just stop there and lets try to help. you can't say anything after that commentyes i'm doubting him if that is the issue I've never seen that come up with a new cable now learning OP has routed it differently I still keep that suggestion on the board
Just tried routing it the other way same issue. Still a lot of slack. It almost touches the intake manifold. When I press the throttle to the floor the throttle plate is opened all the way. But I know its still not right.
