1995 Honda Accord LX Cruise doesn't engage
Upon switching out a cruise unit and cable on my girlfriend's Accord, we noticed that the cruise light on dash goes on briefly and then disengages after like a second. Cruise switch has power and lights up. All the vacuum lines appeared to be good when I switched the unit under the dash and the fuse is good. Is there something I might be missing? I've heard something about a cruise module? and or if the horn doesn't work (which hers does not work currently and is another issue trying to diagnose as well)
Thoughts from the gurus would certainly be welcome at this point.

I'd check your brake (and clutch if applicable) switches.
When I did my brake Master cylinder the play was off ever so slightly so that as soon as cruise came on it would turn off. This was because the pedal was adjusted to a spot where it believed the light was on. Note that it's a separate switch from the brake light switch, so don't just look to see if your brakes are on or not.
For mine I could use the top of my foot to flex the brake pedal towards me and then engaged the cruise. It worked fine, but if i relaxed it would turn off. Give that a shot as perhaps it's very close to tripping. Otherwise get under there with a flashlight and see if you can measure resistance on the switch and or just observe if it looks like it's being depressed enough.
Good luck!

I replaced the brake switch tonight and still no luck. We did replace the vss last winter so I once again check ed vacuum lines and they seem good. There is a "Denso" switch hooked up to the vacuum lines that I am questioning at this point. Anybody know what this switch is called? It's where the vacuum line from the engine goes to?
yea. The horn doesn't work either. I'll check that next. thanks. This was the next area I was headed without the ability to diagnose the cruise module...
