Default Help!

I need some help. I'm kinda of new to the Honda scene and I want to do an engine swap, I have a 1994 Accord LX with a F22B2 engine I believe and an auto transmission (sadly).

I was looking at H22 blocks but I don't anything about them, also will the H22s work right away with the auto transmission or am I going to have to get a different transmission

Please help that would be great.

Why would you swap to an H and not convert to manual, its obviously possible but you would have tons more fun driving it as a five speed. Do some research on H swaps, its a very common swap.

Welcome to HT.

Yea I have looked around to see what people are saying. Trust me I want a manual but my fear is that my car is just going to break from all the swapping and me being a college student I don't really have money get a new car

But if it's that easy to switch to a manual where can I find a whole transmission/engine bundle I guess you could for a fair price? If you know of any

The swap included with a manual can be achieved for less than 1500 bucks. Manuals are FAR more simple, which makes them far cheaper to fix when they break!

I agree with NZXTInerTia on the manual swap as well but if you do go that route you may want to make sure you have something to get around in. Assuming you never swapped a motor its will be alot of work involved and time.

Wow thank you guys for your help this is my first car doing custom work and I knew Hondas were good starter cars and you guys have helped me a lot. I might look into a manual also would I have to change exhaust or intake systems if I end up doing the manual change?

Nope tranny itself is the only thing involved in swapping to manual however when/if you do swap the H22 make sure you do get the an intake manifold and exhaust manifold as they arent interchangeable.
