Default Bad cilinder hone??

Hi,

Since my Db8 was using so much oil that I had to check the level every morning If i could still drive to work safely, I decided to pull the head and change the valveseals for starters. I was told by the previous owner the block had a hone and some fresh rings 20K kms ago(had prove of work done) so I wasnt really thinking about those being the cause of my car consuming oil.. After taking the head off I found this(pic) I already contacted a local shop and showed them this pic. He told me this was for 80% the cause of my oil burning. I was just wondering what you guys think of it.. and how does it explain 80% of my oil burning. Thanks

That looks horrible , like they sat on the hone one one speed on one area too long , inside of a up and down motion varying the hone.

It would be nice to watch a YouTube video of someone re-honing a B series block, with a drill and (400 grit) cylinder ball hone ball.
