honda 94 shuts off unexpectedly.
Hi,
So this is my problem. My Honda Accord 94 non-VTech unexpectedly shuts off when idling of coming to a stop as in a red light, I can; however, restart it right after without problem. I've cleaned throttle body, fast idle valve. These two have solve some other issues, I'm mentioning them to list things I've done. Also, done compression check, still within good range, though my rings are worn out. I don't think this could cause a shut down, as engine sounds good overall. I've checked fuel pressure with regulator hose attached and I get steady 32.5, range is 31 to 37.
My check engine light IS NOT ON; however, I'm trying to see whether I can get any codes. When tested when bridging the two pin service port my check engine light stays ON. No blinking. Does this mean I have no codes? I believe my ECU is fine 'cause it came on when I disconnected the idle air control valve and it does come on when I start the car during the time the fuel starts then it goes off.
I think I'm going to look for a vacuum leak, but I'm wondering what are the places I'm going to spray the throttle cleaner.
Could anybody please tell where I should try? and the thing about the engine light too.
Thanks

If there was a vacuum leak the car would idle faster than normal.
Verify that your base ignition timing, idle speed, and cam belt timing are correct.
