Default 2008 Ridgeline gas milage helps

Does the GForce performance chip kit really increase mpg from 4-7 and increase horsepower? My Ridgeline gets about 18mpg and if this thing works for only $69, I'm In! What other methods beside a cold air kit will help my mpg?

HP and mileage are polar opposites, if you want one, you sacrifice the other, simple as that. Changing your driving habits will do more to increase your MPG than anything else.

AWD will use more fuel than 2WD, beware of that.

Horsepower requires additional fuel. If you increase airflow, fuel will also increase to compensate. Once you go too high, you will get a fuel system too lean code. The car will adapt to your modifications to a point, after that legally it cant.

Old thread...but those chips are a joke.

If you want to up MPG in the Ridgeline, buy different tires. That's about the only way. You could try an air intake and see if that helps.
