The skills and knowlage here is crazy and I hope someone knows this.
I am looking to get some trapdoors for a fueltank project. The only ones I found are ether $60 each or in aluminium.
Has anyonefound a way fabricate theire own or found some somewhere?

you can buy those from home depot in steel $2, they are for hinges so they have screw holes in them but you weld them closed. There are certain ones to buy you need the ones that lay flat when opened.
like this brass one but in plain steel , you see how it lays flat because the hinge is on top vs down the center, if you see the 2nd pic you can see it's can't lay completely flat so you will have trouble mounting it

Check out Home Depot like mentioned above or look at the Moroso oil pans to get an idea. We have made a few for oem oil pans that do not have an aftermarket one available.
